Silent Waters | Rough Sketches | June 09
Rough sketches focusing on rivers, salmon, and the sustainability of wild salmon in British Columbia.
The piece is being designed as a live surround sound & panoramic video installation.
The past 2 centuries have been revolutionary ones for the people and wild fish living in British Columbia.
Patterns of fishing and social interaction that evolved slowly over millennia have been swept aside, or forced into radical change. Silent Waters explores ideas of environmental and cultural sustainability in the face of industrialization and globalization.
